SOUTH REGION SUMMER SERIES 2010Event Info:

5 rounds to count for British Championships qualification (TBC)
7 rounds to qualify for South Region series ranking
7 rounds to qualify for South Region end-of-series Trophy.

• £10 Expert Race Fee - £5 Novice fee
• All 2009 Novices to move to Expert Class
• Registration closes at 11am sharp
• Classes will reflect Brits age groups and will be split out if classes
  are merged for racing
• 17+ Payback Class (to include 19+/JnrMen/Elite) This is a payback class - no end of series trophies
• Old School included as expert class this season - you may qualify for the Brits in this class but you must race in your correct age group
• Minimum 4 riders constitute a class.

 Series Details

Attend 4 from 5 rounds to qualify for trophy

Best 4 races from 5 to count for Overall Ranking

£5 Novice Race fee - Medals presented at each round

£10 Expert Race fee - end of Series Trophies presented at first Summer regional

Registration closes at 11am

Pre-registration phone line open Saturday afternoon (times TBC)

Age Groups as follows - groups with 4 or less riders will be merged

Novice - 8 and under, 9-11, 12-16, 17+, Old School

(all 2009 Summer Series novices to move up to expert)

Boys 20″ - 6 and under mixed, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17+ payback, Masters, 40 plus

Girls 20″ - 6 and under mixed, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15, Junior Female, 25+ (20/24″)

Cruiser - 15 and under, 16-29, 30-39, 40+

(The age groups are based on the riders age at the end of 2010)

Brits 2009 - Tuesday update

Hi … this is the latest update from Roger

Spectator Space Allocation

5 areas will be marked out along the last straight and 2nd corner.  The regions will allocated a set width, but you will also be able to put shelters behind one another to form a larger area.

Team Area

No bookings will be taken, but the Country area utilised at the European events will be allocated to teams.

Rider Sign In

This will take place in the bar area near the reception from 12 o’clock on Saturday - there is plenty of time so please dont all come at once!!

Brits 2009 - Cheddar

 Well its nearly here!!

This coming weekend the regions all travel to Cheddar to compete at the 2009 British Championships.

 One of the main events of the weekend is the Riders Parade - it is a chance for all the riders to come together and parade around the track as one region - as you hopefully know our region colour is blue and we ask you top bring with you anything you can take round the track with you to make some noise …. we need to be the loudest region as this year I am told the other regions are really upping their game!!

There will also be a special job for 3 riders in this years parade - so if you want to be one of those riders then drop me (Martin) an email via the contacts page and your name will go into a hat - results will be published at rider check in on the Saturday
